Inter staged another stunning comeback to beat Fiorentina 2-1 on Matchday eight, scoring twice deep into stoppage time to snatch all three points. The Nerazzurri dominated proceedings and created a host of chances, only to be denied by an inspired De Gea and the woodwork, with Carlos Augusto twice hitting the crossbar. Against the run of play, Fiorentina took the lead through Jimenez, whose long-range right-footed strike flew into the top corner. But Chivu's side refused to give in and produced a remarkable late turnaround. Thuram drew Inter level in the 91st minute with a clinical left-footed finish into the bottom corner before winning a penalty that Zielinski coolly converted in the 97th minute to seal the win. The result takes Inter to 22 points from their opening eight league matches.
