Another week of NFL football is in the books. As usual, plenty of former Iowa football stars had their hands all over some of the biggest results of the weekend.
It was a wild weekend in the league, with teams claiming unlikely wins and massive comebacks spread throughout the country. In the midst of all the chaos stood numerous former Hawkeyes . These players found the end zone and made highlight-reel plays all weekend long. But some performances stood out from the rest.
Here's how some former Hawks performed in Week 6 of the NFL season:
Amani Hooker, Tennessee Titans
Hooker was instrumental in the Titans ' 26-20 win over the Colts . He finished the game with 13 total tackles and an incredible toe-tap interception in the first quarter. It was the second interception of the season for Hooker and the 14th of his NFL career. He's quietly turned into a consistent NFL contributor in Tennessee.
George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers
Kittle has been a regular on this list, and he was great once again in Week 6. The 33-year-old had five receptions for 69 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers ' 23-17 win over the Commanders . He already has five receiving touchdowns this season, putting him on pace to smash his previous career-best of 11. His connection with Brock Purdy is one of the most dangerous in all of football.
Lukas Van Ness, Green Bay Packers
Van Ness continued his breakout fourth season with another sack in the Packers ' 23-13 win over the Cowboys . He now has 3.5 sacks in six games. His previous career-best was four sacks in 17 games as a rookie. With Micah Parsons out, Van Ness has stepped up big time for Green Bay's defense. He's earning a lot of goodwill from the fanbase this season.
Drew Stevens, Washington Commanders
Stevens has had some ups and downs as a rookie, but he put together a strong game on Monday. He drilled a 51-yard field goal and made both extra-point attempts in the Commanders' 23-17 loss to the 49ers. After missing two field goals and two extra points in his first two games, Stevens has been perfect over his last four. He's starting to look like the kicker Iowa fans know well.
