Ireland vs Austria – Predicted lineup and team news
Ireland will take on Austria in their UEFA Nations League matchday three clash on Thursday at Dublin's Aviva Stadium, aiming to build on the momentum from their most recent victory.
The Republic of Ireland go into this fixture with uneven results in their latest League B games. They began their new Nations League campaign on a sour note, losing 1-0 away to Kosovo in a performance that lacked clear-cut chances in attack. But the Boys in Green responded strongly on Sunday, producing an impressive 3-0 win over Israel in Hungary, driven by a commanding first-half display in which they scored all three goals before the break.

Ireland team news
Austria, under Ralf Rangnick, are working with a significantly reshaped squad compared to the one that featured at the summer tournament.
The team is entering a new phase after talismanic forward Marko Arnautović retired from international football, while key midfielder Marcel Sabitzer is unavailable for the entire Nations League window.
Their creative options are further reduced because attacking midfielder Christoph Baumgartner is injured and has been ruled out of this match.
There are also mixed reports over Konrad Laimer 's fitness and availability; he has travelled with the squad, but his participation remains uncertain.

Given these important absences, Rangnick is placing greater emphasis on younger players, relying on the strong recent form of Carney Chukwuemeka —who could feature—and Junior Adamu to lead Austria's attacking line.
