Isaac Romero's Gesture Brings Second Yellow in Levante Draw
Adrián Cordero Vega's report says Isaac Romero was sent off for a second yellow after making a silence gesture towards Levante supporters following Sevilla's late 2-3 goal in Monday's 3-3 draw. Mundo Deportivo reported on 13 October that the referee's account also corrected the recorded minute of the caution, which came after Romero had already been booked for a foul.
Why Isaac Romero was sent off
Cordero Vega's report says Romero turned towards the home crowd and put his index finger to his mouth after scoring. The referee described the gesture as provoking a mass throwing of objects, and the booking for the celebration became Romero's second caution of the match.

The first version of the report listed the caution in the 90th minute. An annex attributed that entry to a typographical error and corrected the time to 90 minutes and five seconds, after the goal; it also confirmed that this was Romero's second yellow.
Mundo Deportivo notes that IFAB Law 12 allows a caution for conduct during a goal celebration that is provocative and exuberant. The incident adds to recent scrutiny of refereeing decisions and disciplinary calls in La Liga, including a controversial derby decision involving VAR explanations and bookings .
Objects thrown after Sevilla's goal
The report says home supporters threw plastic bottles, cups and other objects towards the area where Sevilla players were celebrating. None hit anyone, according to Cordero Vega, who recorded that officials used the first step of the protocol for thrown objects and resumed play after an announcement over the stadium system.

Mundo Deportivo says Levante could receive a minor fine, estimating it could reach €602 based on the wording of the report. That figure is the outlet's assessment, not a confirmed sanction.
Possible fine remains the next disciplinary question
The report documents the crowd incident and the response during the match, but does not confirm a ruling against Levante or a suspension for Romero. Any outcome relating to the club's potential fine remains unconfirmed; separate La Liga red-card cases have shown how refereeing decisions can feed into later disciplinary scrutiny .
