Do the Colorado Buffaloes have a quarterback controversy on their hands?

Based on the videos coming out of practice the past two weeks, one could very well be brewing between redshirt freshman Julian Lewis and Utah transfer Isaac Wilson .

Wilson's grasp of Brennan Marion's Go-Go offense, and he was clearly one of the best players on the practice field last week. He is once again showing out multiple standout throws in Friday's practice, including an 80-yard bomb to Kam Perry on the first play of scrimmage.

Can Wilson really challenge Lewis for the starting role? On the surface, it seems like a long shot, but as he keeps showing out and the team starts believing in what Wilson's talent can do, anything could happen.

Wilson broke down the team following practice, and freshman cornerback Preston Ashley was quick to praise the signal caller, calling him "the one."

"He's that one," Ashley exclaimed. "On my momma, he that one."

Ashley was likely on the receiving end of a few Wilson's throws Friday morning and clearly came away impressed.

Colorado had a quarterback battle last spring, and while it is too early to say the QB1 job is up for grabs, Wilson's play is something to monitor the rest of spring camp.
