DeAngelo instead elects to remain on the Island, where he's made a nice home for himself over the past two seasons after a brief stint in the KHL following a buyout from the Hurricanes.
The defenseman topped the 30-point mark last season for the first time since the 2022-23 campaign.
New York's blueline should be set for the most part now, with DeAngelo sliding back in alongside star youngster Matthew Schaefer, Scott Mayfield, Ryan Pulock, Adam Pelech, Alexander Romanov, and Isaiah George.
