Jackson State second-leading receiver Ja'Naylon Dupree to enter transfer portal
Jackson State football wide receiver Ja'Naylon Dupree announced on Dec. 9 that he will enter the transfer portal .
Dupree was the Tigers' second-leading receiver this season, totaling 509 yards and six touchdowns on 31 receptions in 12 games. He tied for fifth in the SWAC in touchdown receptions. He also rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown on six carries.
He played two season at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College before transferring to Jackson State in 2024. In two seasons with the Tigers, he caught 52 passes for 865 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Dupree is listed as a senior on JSU's roster, and mentioned in his announcement that he has one year of eligibility remaining. The transfer portal will open Jan. 2 and run until Jan. 15.
Dupree is from Philadelphia, Mississippi, and played at Neshoba Central. He is the grandson of former Oklahoma and Los Angeles Rams running back Marcus Dupree.
