How long has Nick Mullens been with the Jaguars ?
Mullens was signed by the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent in 2017, and appeared on the practice squad or as a backup for various teams over the years, until landing with the Jaguars in 2025.

Recapping Nick Mullen's 2025 season
Mullens served as QB2 behind Trevor Lawrence in 2025, and as such, saw limited playing time. He appeared in 5 games in clean-up duty and had a total of 36 offensive snaps. In that time, he completed all three of his passing attempts for 19 yards.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Nick Mullens
In all likelihood, Mullens will retain his position as QB2 behind Lawrence. However, it's not entirely a sure thing, as he has struggled so far this offseason at OTAs and minicamp. If he continues to play poorly, then theoretically, Joey Aguilar or Carter Bradley could make a roster push and replace him.

However, Mullens has NFL experience that gives him an advantage and, barring a spectacularly bad showing at training camp, he should remain on the roster at QB2. Beyond being ready to step into a game, the backup quarterback can be a sounding board for the starter in the meeting rooms, on the practice field, and on the sidelines during games.
