How long has Patrick Mekari been with the Jaguars ?
Mekari was initially signed by the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent (UDFA) following the 2019 NFL Draft. He fought his way onto the final 53-man roster after a strong training camp performance, and he made a number of starts early in his career. Mekari was signed by the Jaguars in 2025 to a three-year, $37.5 million contract.
Recapping Patrick Mekari's 2025 season
Mekari started at right guard in 2025, but he had a roller coaster season and missed three games due to injury. And with that, his performance was up and down. He was flagged nine times for 65 penalty yards; he ranked 63rd out of 83 eligible guards in PFF's run-blocking and gave up the 12th most pressures (34), as well as two sacks, ranking tied for 58th in pass-blocking.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Patrick Mekari
It would appear that Mekari will have to fend off sophomore Wyatt Milum to hold onto the starting job . Both are coming off healthy offseasons, and both will need to have strong performances in training camp. Milum was more efficient in a smaller sample last season, meaning Mekari can't simply rely on his experience to keep the job. However, it's that experience, along with his versatility, that gives Mekari a slight edge.
