Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne broke the 1,000-yards rushing mark for the 2025 season.
Etienne came into the game against the Indianapolis Colts one-yard shy of crossing the threshold of 1,000 rush yards for the third time in his career. He got the needed yardage in the second quarter as he took a handoff from Trevor Lawrence four yards.
"I'm excited for [him] this week especially, and during these next few games here," head coach Liam Coen said earlier in the week. Etienne is enjoying a bounce-back season under Coen. After having a career-worst season statistically last year, he's returned to form and improved in a lot of areas.

He started the year blazingly on the ground, rushing for more than 100 yards in two of the first four games. But as teams started to load the box and slow Jacksonville's ground attack, he displayed an ability to be a threat in the receiving game as well.
Etienne has five receiving touchdowns in the last five games, highlighted by his three-touchdown performance against the New York Jets .
"I think as a player overall, his growth and adaptation and how he has become more versatile," longtime teammate Trevor Lawrence said of where he's seen the most growth out of Etienne. "I think you look at what he is doing out of the backfield … the three receiving touchdowns and the things he was able to do catching the ball."
Entering Sunday, Etienne recorded 1,269 total yards with 13 touchdowns. It's almost an even split between receiving and rushing touchdowns with seven on the ground and six through the air.
However, there's only one stat Etienne says he cares about.
"Can't get to lost in the accolades. I feel like I'm just more proud of the wins we've been stacking up and man," he said of being close to breaking 1,000. "Hopefully we just continue to stack them and have a deep playoff run. That's all I really care about."
The Jaguars will wrap up their game with the Colts before hosting the Tennessee Titans in the regular season finale.
