Jair hails value of South American U20 title for senior Brazil call-up
Jair emphasized the importance of winning the South American U-20 Championship in February last year for his arrival in the senior national team. "The youth national team was very important for me. Not just because I played at youth level, but also because I became a champion. I think I can bring a great deal of experience from those tournaments; it's something that helped me a lot and that will certainly be very good for me to keep building my path here with the senior national team," he said.

In the tournament, played in Venezuela, the center-back won the title alongside Arthur Dias, Rayan and Breno Bidon , with whom he will share the locker room again in this call-up. Together, they helped Brazil lift the trophy for the 13th time.

"It has been a very good experience. Last year I had a difficult start, I wasn't getting many opportunities, but I never gave up at any moment. I kept working quietly and I was able to earn my chances. This year, I've been able to play more and improve more. For me, it has been very good; I'm learning a lot, playing big matches against great teams and great players," he celebrated.
