- Will Jalen Pitre Be Ready for the Texans' Game in London?
The Houston Texans have received encouraging news about defensive back Jalen Pitre after he injured his left shoulder against the Tennessee Titans. KPRC2 reporter Aaron Wilson reported that Pitre will not require surgery and will avoid injured reserve.
The injury occurred during Houston's October 11 matchup with Tennessee. Pitre left the field after a collision while defending a play, raising concerns about the severity of the shoulder problem.

However, the latest update offers hope that his absence could be shorter than initially feared. Pitre's status remains day-to-day to week-to-week as the Texans monitor his recovery.
Pitre has been productive for Houston this season, recording 24 tackles, one tackle for loss and zero sacks through five games. He has also contributed five passes defended and zero interceptions.
His versatility makes him an important piece of head coach DeMeco Ryans' defense. Pitre can support coverage assignments, pressure opposing quarterbacks and help stop running plays near the line of scrimmage.

Avoiding injured reserve gives Houston flexibility while the medical staff evaluates his progress. If Pitre cannot return immediately, the coaching staff will need to adjust its secondary rotation to cover his responsibilities.
The timing matters because the Texans are preparing to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, October 18. Houston enters the matchup with a 1-4 record after securing its first victory of the season against Tennessee.

The Texans will need to assess Pitre's shoulder before determining whether he can play internationally. His ability to return without surgery is positive news, but his availability for Sunday's game remains uncertain.

For now, Houston can focus on his recovery without preparing for a confirmed surgical absence. The next injury updates should provide a clearer indication of whether Pitre can face Jacksonville or must wait longer to return.
