The NFL season continues to get worse for the Los Angeles Chargers, who dropped to 0-7 in 2026 following a disappointing 24-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 8 on Sunday. However, rather than providing meaningful answers about the team's ongoing struggles, head coach Jim Harbaugh once again left reporters with little explanation.
With the Chargers continuing to struggle on both sides of the ball, questions are mounting about what needs to change for the franchise to get back on track.
Harbaugh, however, appeared to have little interest in providing specific answers following Sunday's defeat.

Speaking to reporters after the loss, Harbaugh acknowledged that the team understands its problems but offered little insight into how they intend to address them.
"We're aware of what the issues are, and we're the only ones who can fix them," Harbaugh said. "It's not a familiar position for any of the guys in our locker room, so we're the only ones who can change it. We are highly motivated and dedicated to do that."
Harbaugh also confirmed that offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel will continue serving as the team's play caller despite the offense's ongoing struggles.
When asked whether McDaniel would retain those responsibilities, Harbaugh simply responded, "Yes."
"Not going to address anything. I'm focused on the game, and that's my focus," the Chargers head coach added.
The lack of detailed answers is unlikely to satisfy a frustrated fanbase that has watched its team fall to the bottom of the standings.

The offensive struggles have become particularly concerning for Los Angeles. The Chargers have failed to score a touchdown since late in the third quarter of their Week 5 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Quarterback Justin Herbert has also struggled with turnovers, throwing a league-high 10 interceptions through the first eight weeks of the 2026 season. He was also strip-sacked during Sunday's loss to the Rams.
With their season quickly slipping away, the Chargers desperately need to find a solution.
Los Angeles will have another opportunity to get its first victory when it hosts the Houston Texans (2-5) in Week 9 on Sunday. Whether Harbaugh and his coaching staff can finally turn things around remains to be seen.
