John Wall lands prominent front office role with Howard University

John Wall spent 11 seasons as an NBA point guard and one memorable campaign leading the University of Kentucky's backcourt. He will now take his floor general skills upstairs to serve as Howard University's president of basketball operations.

Wall already has extensive knowledge of the Bison basketball program, having consulted for the program previously, according to reports. He was involved in discussions, including but not limited to revenue sharing, transfer portal targets, player mentorship and recruit evaluations.

In his post-playing days, Wall has become a familiar face on Amazon's coverage of the NBA this season, serving in both studio and in-game analyst roles.

Basketball fans in Washington, D.C., are familiar with Wall from his nine seasons with the Wizards and will have another chance to see what he can do in the nation's capital with Howard.
