Tom Masters explains who Jon Aramburu is.
While the transfer market may be over until January, the rumour mill never stops, and Fulham are already eyeing up potential January reinforcements.
The Cottagers have thus far struggled to hit the heights of yesteryear this season, sitting on just two points from their opening five matches.

And so it is entirely possible that come January, they are active in the market and could look to bring in some new talent to either help them rise up the table or simply to help them in their quest to avoid relegation to the Championship.
And, according to TeamTalk , one of Fulham 's targets at this stage is Venezuela international Jon Aramburu.
But who is he, and what could he bring to the Fulham squad?
Jon Aramburu is a 24-year-old right-back who currently plies his trade for Real Sociedad in La Liga.
Born in the Venezuelan capital Caracas, Aramburu has gone on to represent his country 20 times, scoring one goal, which came in defeat to Paraguay in October 2024.

He was a part of the Real Sociedad youth set-up between 2016 and 2017 but was forced to return to Venezuela by FIFA rulings and joined the Deportivo La Guaira academy in his home nation.
There, he went on to win the Venezuelan Primera Division in 2020.
He then joined Spanish third-division side Real Union in 2022, where he stayed for just a season, before he ended up back in San Sebastian and Real Sociedad.
He began in the Real Sociedad B team, but quickly progressed into the senior team, where he remains a key cog.
Last season, Real Sociedad won the Copa del Rey, beating Atletico Madrid , with Aramburu playing as much as 114 minutes of the game, which finished in a 2-2 draw, before Sociedad won 4-3 on penalties.

Now 24, Aramburu has attracted interest from some of the very biggest sides in the Premier League, including Manchester City , Liverpool and Tottenham , as well as the Cottagers, who remain desperate to improve their right-back depth.
Timothy Castagne had a very strong pre-season but has thus far failed to make the same impact in the Premier League, while Kenny Tete has seemingly fallen out of favour with Alvaro Arbeloa already.
Right back was also a constant source of frustration for Marco Silva, who wanted to bring in a replacement last season.
Aramburu has all the tendencies to be a top defender at Premier League level, but what may set him back, especially from Arbeloa's squad selection, is that he is not particularly good on the ball, something that the Spaniard is particularly fond of.

That could allow Arbeloa to adjust his tactics slightly, allowing for Antonee Robinson or Ryan Sessegnon to be the full-back that bombs forward and Aramburu to settle into a back three on the ball.
It seems as though Fulham may have their work cut out to try and secure his services against some of the heavy hitters, but should they do so, he could certainly make a marked difference to the Cottagers' defensive system.
