The Eagles have talked about the urgency of shifting to younger defensive players, and the organization locked up Jordan Davis on Saturday afternoon. Philadelphia and Davis agreed to a three-year, $78 million contract extension that includes $65 million guaranteed, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday.
Davis is entering the fifth-year option of his rookie contract, and his new deal coming in at $26 million per year places him tied for second in annual average salary among interior defensive linemen, alongside former teammate Milton Williams .
