Kameryn Crawford could become a difference maker this year for USC

Each team that goes on a deep run in the College Football Playoff typically has at least one game changer on defense. It has been quite some time since the Trojans have had that. USC has had some good players, but none truly capable of elevating a defense. Could the Trojans have someone trending in that direction on the defensive line this season?

A recent tweet by the USC fan account @TrojanFBx , broke down a potential rising star in spring ball so far: defensive lineman Kameryn Crawford . Here is what it had to say about Crawford:

"Hearing Kam Crawford has been a PROBLEM all day for the offense,” the account wrote.

“They can’t stop his relentless pressure and getting to the backfield all practice. Kam Crawford is eyeing that All-American this year.”

As a sophomore last season, Crawford had 5.5 sacks, 10.5 tackles for loss, and 41 total tackles. He is continuing to build confidence in his collegiate career. Little by little, he is becoming a more refined defensive lineman, and this season could be his breakout year. If Crawford takes that next jump this season, the Trojans will have the defense needed to compete in the Big Ten, just like they are expected to. He very well could become the next Trojans defender drafted in the first round.
