According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Kansas City Chiefs are set to waive veteran defensive lineman Emmanuel Ogbah following their preseason finale against the Seattle Seahawks .
Ogbah spent the 2019 season with the Chiefs but had his season cut short due to injury and was unavailable for the playoff run to Super Bowl LIV. He expressed that he stayed in touch with defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo over the years, which helped lead to his eventual one-year deal to return in hopes of making the 2026 roster.
Take a look at Schefter's report on the Chiefs' decision to waive Ogbah, which was posted to his official X account on August 30:
The 32-year-old has a career total of 48 sacks through 136 games, securing nine forced fumbles and two interceptions. He has previously spent time with the Cleveland Browns , Miami Dolphins , and, last season, the Jacksonville Jaguars .
