- Kentucky Wildcats News: UCF Gameday for UK Basketball
Good morning, BBN!
It's gameday in the Bluegrass as No. 23 Kentucky welcomes UCF to Rupp Arena for its third and final exhibition game before the 2026-27 regular season officially tips off.
The Wildcats have looked impressive through their first two preseason contests, opening with a comfortable 69-49 victory over Little Rock before taking down No. 19 Texas Tech, 76-65, last Friday.

That win over the Red Raiders was particularly encouraging, as Kentucky overcame a sluggish start and used a balanced offensive attack to pull away. Milan Momcilovic and Malachi Moreno each scored 15 points, while three other Wildcats finished in double figures.
Now, Mark Pope's squad has one final opportunity to work out the kinks before the games start counting.
UCF enters Wednesday's matchup having split its first two exhibitions, falling to LSU before defeating Rollins College.
For Kentucky, the focus will be on continuing to build chemistry, improving its rebounding, and carrying that momentum into next week's season opener against Manhattan on November 3.
