Gabriel continued to demonstrate his importance to Arsenal by scoring in their 2-0 victory over Everton at the weekend. The Brazilian defender has been outstanding for the Gunners this season, showing his quality in both penalty areas and helping the team maintain their strong performances.

Gabriel has continued to prove why he deserves to start regularly across competitions, contributing to the team's success at both ends of the pitch. His latest display against Everton offered another reminder of the qualities that have made him such a valuable member of the squad.
Keown praises Gabriel's development
The Brazilian's progress has also attracted praise from former Arsenal defender Martin Keown, who believes Gabriel has become a legendary figure at the club. Having spent more than half a decade at the Emirates, the defender has grown into a leader and an influential presence at the heart of the defence.
Speaking via Football365 , Keown highlighted Gabriel's consistency and physical qualities, saying:

"Gabriel is into his sixth season at Arsenal now and this guy is just a machine.
"You rarely see a striker get the better of him. I've seen him mature a lot and become the leader at the back."
Keown's comments reflect the transformation Gabriel has undergone since arriving at Arsenal. His ability to compete against top forwards, organise the defence and contribute in attacking situations has helped establish his reputation among supporters.

Adding, he said: "He just loves defending and the fans just buzz of him. He's a legend of the football club now."
Many Arsenal supporters would agree with that assessment, given the Brazilian's development and consistent contributions over the years. He has become an important part of the club's defensive structure and continues to deliver performances that underline his value.
Gabriel's goal against Everton further demonstrated his ability to influence matches at both ends of the pitch. If he maintains this level, he will remain central to Arsenal's ambitions in the competitions ahead.
