Durant sets the record straight on LaMelo Ball interaction
The account sharing the footage claimed, "LaMelo observes that KD 'don't pass the ball' and asks KD to acknowledge this. KD finds it funny."
The description framed the moment as Ball calling out Durant's ball distribution in a light-hearted exchange. Durant responded directly beneath the post, disputing that interpretation.
"I observe that you're wrong. He told the ref that I was passing, and I shouldn't be shooting free throws…it's all good… We all make mistakes."

According to Durant, Ball was actually telling the referee that he had moved the ball and should not have been awarded free throws.
Social media engagement remains part of Durant's brand
Durant has a long history of responding directly to fans and commentators on social media, particularly when he feels a narrative misrepresents him.
Rather than ignoring viral claims, he frequently chooses to clarify the situation himself.
This exchange fits that established pattern, with Durant correcting what he viewed as an inaccurate portrayal.
While many stars avoid direct engagement online, Durant has consistently shown a willingness to confront criticism or misinformation head-on.
