The clip quickly circulated online, not just because of the company he was keeping but because of the shot itself.
Golf has recently become a growing part of James' routine, and moments like this suggest he is taking it seriously.
Kevin Love posts video of LeBron James sinking a putt
The video posted by Love showed James facing a putt of roughly 10 feet with noticeable left-to-right break.
It was not a straight tap-in, requiring a careful read and steady touch to judge the movement across the green.
James lined it up, trusted the line, and watched it drop. The reaction from those around him suggested it was a solid effort rather than a stroke of luck.

"Come on now. Oh my goodness. Way to save the [hole]," James reacted in the clip on Love's Instagram story.
With Tatum also part of the group, the scene offered a rare look at three NBA stars enjoying time away from basketball while still embracing competition.

LeBron James explains why golf has become his new obsession
James has spoken openly about how golf has captured his interest, even though he only started playing relatively recently.
"I love challenges. It's one of the hardest things I've ever done. And to put the time into it and commit to it is something I'm really enjoying," he previously explained.

"It's also very rare for me to be able to get away and not be bothered as well. To play golf is one of the places where you're not allowed to be bothered.
"It's just me, nature, the greens, the bunkers, and a group of guys that I go with. I love it, I'm really enjoying it. I love watching it as well.
"Whether I'm watching the PGA or the YouTube golf and those guys. It's a pretty cool sport, and I'm glad I finally got into it. It's cool."
For James, golf represents both difficulty and escape, combining technical precision with a rare opportunity to disconnect from constant attention.
