Key UNC basketball guard makes decision on future
The North Carolina Tar Heels are expected to be active in the transfer portal as they have a new head coach taking over with Michael Malone.
Already, we have seen a number of players from North Carolina enter the transfer portal, as expected. But a new report regarding a key player is good news.
Per Noah Weiskopf of TarHeel247 , guard Luka Bogavac has reportedly told the publication that he is planning on returning for another season rather than entering the transfer portal. This is an early decision for Bogavac as the transfer portal just opened and will be open for two weeks.
"Nope, I'm staying," Bogavac said when asked if he's entering the portal. Bogavac said he's excited to stay and play for Malone.
The Montenegro native appeared in all 33 games for North Carolina last season, averaging 9.8 points 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. Bogavac shot 40.2 percent from the field and 34.9 percent from three-point range.
Bogavac was considered a big pickup for North Carolina last offseason and retaining him could be even better news for them.
