There is another fighter within Khabib Nurmagomedov's camp poised to continue his late father's vision.
Following the former lightweight champion's exit from the sport, Islam Makhachev stepped up and took control of the division.

Makhachev has since moved up to welterweight, but there is already another name from their team that Nurmagomedov has helped mould into a top contender at 155 pounds.
And according to 'The Eagle', his cousin Usman is already performing at the level of the current UFC lightweight champion.
Before Usman puts his unbeaten record on the line again, another member of their camp made a strong first impression in his promotional debut.

Khabib will not only be cornering Usman this Saturday in Dubai.
In the final prelim at the Coca-Cola Arena, a well-regarded prospect made his PFL debut with 'The Eagle' in his corner.

Amru Magomedov, already a UAE Warriors champion with multiple title defences, added another win to his record at just 26 years old.
He needed only 37 seconds to stop Kolton England, with fans online praising the performance as 'phenomenal' and 'classic Khabib style'.
The hype online quickly built up after his fight. One fan wrote: "If Khabib says future star, you might as well start learning about him now."
Another said: "They always said this guy is the next big thing, he did not disappoint."
There were even comparisons being made between Amru and Usman, with some fans claiming that Magomedov is already better than several UFC fighters.

Amru Magomedov faces the challenge of following in big footsteps
Khabib's career has left a massive mark on the sport, though some now feel Makhachev has even surpassed his mentor's achievements.
And there is constant speculation about whether Usman will eventually make the jump to the UFC and add to his family's legacy at 155 pounds.
If that happens, Amru could well step into Usman's place at the top of the division.
Both fighters are already highly respected in their divisions, so it would not be surprising if Nurmagomedov's team ended up holding lightweight titles in both organisations at the same time.
