The Philadelphia Eagles are in a brutal spot right now. After starting the season 2-0 with optimism about how it would unfold, they've lost five straight games as the roster has undergone major changes.
Now, more significant changes could be on the horizon for the franchise, particularly involving their head coach. For a former quarterback with them, the first signs of trouble for Nick Sirianni came in the form of Jeff Stoutland's departure.

Nick Foles Joins the Dots Between Jeff Stoutland and Nick Sirianni
Stoutland's coaching career spans more than four decades, beginning at Southern Connecticut State in 1984. He joined the Eagles in 2013 and became one of the franchise's longest-tenured assistants, helping Philadelphia win two Super Bowl championships during his 13 seasons with the team.
After last season, Stoutland announced on social media that his time coaching with the Eagles had come to an end. For Nick Foles, who worked with Stoutland during Philadelphia's Super Bowl LII championship run, his departure served as an early warning sign that something within the organization was changing.
"Nick Sirianni might be doomed," Chase Senior reported on X,
as he compiled the comments from Foles on the social media platform.

"Here's what Nick Foles said about last night's loss, pertaining to the Eagles culture: There is dysfunction in Philly. It was little things for me. It wasn't the execution that got me. It was culture things. The number one thing isn't scheme, a fancy coordinator, it's culture."

Philadelphia has also dealt with major personnel losses, including Lane Johnson's retirement and Jalen Hurts being sidelined by blood clots that are expected to keep him out for the rest of the season. But Foles argued that the Eagles' problems extend beyond injuries and execution, pointing instead to what he sees as a decline in the organization's culture.
"In Philadelphia, for the better part of the past couple of decades, they have had really good culture. Something is changing," Foles said. "When they got rid of Jeff Stoutland, that really [expletive] me off. I knew something bad was gonna happen. He is a great coach. For him not to get the respect that he deserves, that frustrates me."

It remains to be seen if Sirianni becomes the next domino to fall for the Eagles. Soon after Johnson's retirement, the team also traded Cam Jurgens. With a host of other offensive players also coming down with the injury bug, things are looking extremely bleak for the franchise.
That could ultimately impact Sirianni. Despite his accomplishments with the Eagles, which include two trips to the Super Bowl and a championship on his resume, he entered the season facing renewed outside scrutiny over his job security
Now, even with the injuries, as the year gets out of hand, the warning signs are mounting, particularly when the offense-minded head coach's team ranks 30th on PFN's Offense Impact Metric.
