The New York Knicks have patiently waited to decide who they want to add to their final roster spots, and that has been the right approach. With roster cuts still coming and several veterans remaining on the market, New York can afford to be selective.

The Knicks are coming off an NBA Finals appearance and believe they have what it takes to make another deep postseason run. One potential addition is veteran Bruce Brown.
"On the Knicks, Brown is one of those guys Mike Brown could plug and play to the Knicks' best interest. He can start in someone's absence, come off the bench, or even be utilized as a leader in the locker room, particularly when adversity strikes and New York needs a voice. The bottom line is: Brown will do whatever is asked of him on a nightly basis," Daily Knicks' Iliyan Lakhani wrote.
However, NBA insider Brett Siegel reported Thursday that, if he had to choose Brown's next destination, the Knicks would be his pick.
"There's been some talk about the Lakers wanting Bruce Brown after missing out on Kuminga, but I'm not really sure how much I believe that," Siegel said. "I would cast doubt on the Lakers. Could they make it happen? Maybe. But I would look at the Knicks as a realistic option. He could come in and play that Josh Hart-type role for the Knicks," Siegel said. "I think, personally for me, that would be a really good fit."

It would be a major free-agency win for New York, especially with several other playoff contenders also showing interest in Brown.
"The Cavaliers , Heat and Lakers have recently expressed free agent interest in Bruce Brown. Now one of the best available unrestricted free agents, the versatile guard could help complete a title-contending rotation," NBA reporter Evan Sidery wrote.
It is clear that the Lakers are one of the Knicks' biggest threats to sign Brown. The former NBA champion could have a difficult decision to make, especially with multiple contenders offering him opportunities to contribute.
Brown has made $63 million throughout his career and has built a reputation as a player who can excel in whatever role a team needs. That versatility would make him an excellent addition to the Knicks' bench and could give New York another dependable veteran capable of making an impact in different situations.
