With the No. 85 overall pick, the Pittsburgh Steelers selected Georgia cornerback Daylen Everette .
Everette appeared in 55 games for the Bulldogs, recording 150 tackles, 107 of them solo stops. He had five tackles for a loss and one sack.
Everette had five interceptions, 24 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his college career.
In 2025, he appeared and started in 13 games. He was named Associated Press All-SEC First Team.
Everette, who's a Norfolk, Va. native, played four seasons at Georgia from 2022-2025. He was a part of the Bulldog's 2022 National Championship Team. He was teammates with Steelers offensive tackle Broderick Jones and tight end Darnell Washington at Georgia.
Everette stands at 6-foot-1, 196 pounds. He has 31 7/8″ arms and 9 5/8″ hands. At the NFL Combine, he ran a blazing-fast 4.38 in the 40-yard dash and a 1.54 10-yard split. He also posted a 37.5'' vertical jump and 10' 4'' broad jump.
"Smooth athlete with good size, length and foot agility as an inside/outside option. Everette started 41 games at Georgia, including several high-leverage affairs. He's well-built with run-through pop when he wants to dial it up. He's controlled and patient from press, forcing wider release stems, and does a nice job of mirroring breaks when in-phase," Lance Zierlein of NFL.com wrote in his scouting report. "Everette appears to lack make-up speed and sudden acceleration from transitions, so when he gets behind, he tends to stay behind. He's willing in run support but is more of a drag-down tackler. Everette's traits are differentiators, but he might lack stickiness against NFL quickness and speed."
