When is comes to Milwaukee Brewers starting pitchers, all eyes have been on Jacob Misiorowski . But Kyle Harrison is having an unforgettable season of his own.
In an 8-3 win over the San Francisco Giants , Harrison pitched 5.2 innings of one-run baseball, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out 12. His ERA on the season now sits at 1.57, which is the second-lowest amongst any Brewers pitched in their first 11 starts, via Sarah Langs of MLB.com. Only CC Sabathia 's mark of 1.43 was lower.
The Brewers acquired Harrison in a trade with the Boston Red Sox prior to the season. So far, Milwaukee couldn't ask for better results. Alongside his 1.57 ERA, Harrison holds a 73/16 K/BB ratio. As a whole, the Brewers rank second in the league with an ERA of 3.15.
While Harrison has had potential, as evident by the fact he was a key piece in the Red Sox' Rafael Devers trade, he had struggled to find his footing at the major league level. Heading in 2026, he never had a season ERA below four. In 2024, when Harrison made a career-high 24 starts, the left-hander posted a 4.56 ERA and a 118/42 K/BB ratio.
Whatever the Brewers has been doing is working. He hasn't allowed more than one earned run in his last four starts. Furthermore, in three of those outings he has seven+ strikeouts and 10+ in two. Harrison's hot streak has only raised the temperature heading into June.
Now, the left-hander must prove he is truly legit. The Brewers will be counting on him to remain a crucial piece of their rotation. If Harrison continues to stay the course, he'll work his way into a long-term role in Milwaukee.
