Buffalo Bills safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson was ejected from the Bills' Week 6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders for spitting on Raiders tight end Brock Bowers.
San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk chimed in and said this isn't new for the 28-year-old and accused Gardner-Johnson of spitting on him during the 49ers' win over the Chicago Bears last season.

" This is the least surprising thing ever ," Juszczyk posted on Twitter above a clip of the ejection. "(Gardner-Johnson) spit on me last year when we beat Chicago."
Gardner-Johnson pleaded his case to officials that he wasn't spitting on Bowers, but it was clear he did something in the direct vicinity of the TE that caused an official to immediately throw a flag and eject the eight-year veteran.
It's also not a surprise Juszczyk and Gardner-Johnson had a dustup last year. Gardner-Johnson and the 49ers have a bit of history starting in 2019 when Gardner-Johnson was a rookie in New Orleans for an epic 48-46 win for San Francisco. In that game Gardner-Johnson was hit with a 15-yard penalty for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Juszczyk.
He was then on the Philadelphia Eagles defense in 2022 that beat the 49ers in the NFC championship game. The next year he faced the 49ers in the NFC championship game with Detroit and famously waved goodbye to 49ers fans after Detroit took an early lead that they eventually blew.

Last season the Bears visited the 49ers in Week 17 for a game with huge playoff implications. San Francisco won in a 42-38 thriller.
Given Gardner-Johnson's penchant for playing near the line of scrimmage and Juszczyk's involvement in getting to the second level in the run game, the two have probably crossed paths countless times over the last half decade or so. It's a surprise Gardner-Johnson wasn't ejected for spitting on Juszczyk, but the fullback and the 49ers have gotten the last laugh in their last two meetings.
If the 49ers run into Gardner-Johnson and the Bills this season it wouldn't be until the Super Bowl.
