Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts recently had some words for the former teammates of the late Rondale Moore, who tragically passed away on Feb. 21 from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside his Indiana residence.
"Crazy how only about 6 maybe 7 of your teammates in the NFL showed up for you today smfh," Pitts wrote in an Instagram post. "All that talk and fake emotion and nobody want to show up to lay you to rest.. Just at a loss of words."
Pitts, 25, had a relationship with Moore while the two played alongside each other with the Falcons. His comments came after some NFL players who had spent time around Moore did not attend his funeral. The fifth-year tight end later added the below comments.
"Be woke on who your 'Brothers' really are, who really rock with you in all areas of life not just in front of cameras or the public!"
Despite his opinions on the actions of others, there's no question Pitts' tribute to Moore was beautiful, sincere and did him justice.
"We literally was just on the phone yesterday morning," Pitts said following Moore's death. "I'm so hurt dawg, I'd never thought I'd be making this type of post let alone it be about you! Rondale, you're truly at peace now watching over us but I wish you didn't leave us man. I love you dawg and 4 is going to live on forever."
