Bronny James probably isn't going to do a lot of things in his NBA career that Michael Jordan never did.

But the Los Angeles Lakers ' second-year guard, LeBron's son, has passed MJ in at least one category.

The feat: Winning a playoff series before turning 25.

Bronny and the Lakers just got past the Houston Rockets in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Jordan won his first playoff series in his fourth season, a few months after turning 25.

Bronny won't turn 22 until October, so he's actually got a chance to expand this stat out a bunch if the Lakers keep winning playoff games in the next couple years.

Of course, this isn't an apples-to-apples comparison. Bronny is a bench player, while Michael was the Bulls ' most important player from the moment he was drafted.

Bronny didn't do much in the series against the Rockets, totaling 12 points and 6 assists across six games.

His role was a bit bigger late in the regular season as the Lakers battled injuries, but L.A. is getting healthier now, meaning Bronny does more watching and less playing. He got just three minutes in the clincher on Friday night.

LeBron , of course, won playoff series before turning 25, too.

Jordan spent more time in college than either of the James men, and it's not always easy for young players drafted early to conceptually bad teams to win right away.

Bronny is on a good team to ride the coattails of others to some playoff wins.

So this isn't a key stat, but it is a real one.
