Larsa Pippen , the ex-wife of six-time NBA champion and Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen, has become arguably one of the most talked-about ex-significant others in NBA history. What's funny is that a lot of the attention that she has gotten came after she and Pippen separated, and it has a lot to do with the things she's said and the people that she's been with.
Over the years, Larsa has been very vocal about her experiences going through the separation with Pippen, speaking about the financial toll as well as the mental exhaustion she suffered through the whole ordeal. She has also been very open about her personal life with her ex-husband, even detailing the number of times she and the NBA Hall of Famer would have intimate relations on a nightly basis.
But while Larsa has made headlines for a lot of the things that she's said on record over the years, there's no question that her most attention-grabbing move was getting into a relationship with Marcus Jordan, the son of her ex-husband's former teammate Michael Jordan.
Obviously, this was a move that not many people approved of, but according to the reality television star, she couldn't care less what others thought.
Why would Larsa date Marcus?
In a 2023 interview with talk show host Tamron Hall, Larsa was very candid about how she felt about what other people — including Scottie, who was in the middle of a public feud with Michael — had to say about her relationship with Marcus.
For reference, Pippen felt that Jordan's Netflix documentary "The Last Dance" diminished him, calling him a "prop," and that Jordan was very condescending. Hall asked Larsa why she would go and date Marcus, knowing that there was this kind of resentment for Jordan on Pippen's end.
"I can't explain how someone else feels. That's how Scottie feels, he has a right to the way he feels. I, personally, don't really care what other people, how he…I feel like I live my truth, I'm happy," she said .
"I feel like we get along, he's my best friend, I feel like we have a lot in common," Larsa added about Marcus.
Larsa also touched on the 16-year age difference, saying that age doesn't necessarily mean maturity.
"I don't really view age as 'You're mature, you're immature', I don't feel that determines if you're mature or not," she explained.
As for how Marcus' parents felt about their relationship at the time, Larsa claimed that it was all good.
"Everyone's fine. When you're an adult, your parents just want to see you happy. We've spent holidays together. We're in a great place," she stated.
Larsa and Marcus eventually broke up
As everyone knows by now, that "great place" really didn't last too long.
After going public in 2022, Larsa and Marcus had a widely-publicized on-and-off relationship until around 2024. She was last linked to former professional basketball player Jeff Coby .
Over the years, though, Larsa has dated a number of other NBA players, including Malik Beasley , Tristan Thompson , and rapper Future.
Her longest relationship remains with Pippen, to whom she was married for over two decades.
