- Las Vegas Raiders’ Reported Asking Price in Maxx Crosby Trade Emerges
Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders are coming off yet another challenging season that saw them tie their franchise record for most losses in a single season with 14. The Raiders have made several changes since then, most notably firing Pete Carroll and hiring Klint Kubiak as their head coach.
Now that the Raiders' new-look coaching staff is mostly set, it's time to address the elephant in the room: Crosby's future with the team. He's under contract with Las Vegas through the 2029 season, but some believe the five-time Pro Bowl pass-rusher is tired of being part of a losing effort.

Others are skeptical that the Raiders would even consider trading their best defender. Recently, ESPN's NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that the Raiders really don't want to trade Crosby. But if they did consider offers, it would take a Micah Parsons -like trade package, with two first-round picks and a player.
"I was told that the Raiders don't want to trade him and that if they even contemplated it, it would take a Micah Parsons-type package," Schefter said (via the Kincade & Salciunas show on 97.5 The Fanatic ). "That's what I was told. Do I think they're getting two ones and a player? No. Do I think that they're going to want to trade him? No. Do I think he'll be traded? …It'll change by the week, but it's certainly possible."
Crosby is already 28 years old. Meanwhile, Parsons was just 26 at the time of his trade from the Cowboys. Crosby also has just 4.5 more sacks than Parsons in his career, and he's played two more seasons. In other words, Parsons was the more attractive trade chip.
In other words, it could be tough for the Raiders to get their reported asking price, but if they're willing to come down in price, there could be a deal. Yet, based on their initial ask, the Raiders likely won't deal their prized pass-rusher for anything less than a first-round selection .
