Fantasy football managers looking for a late-week lineup boost should pay close attention to wide receivers whose opportunities could expand because of injuries, favorable matchups, or growing chemistry with their quarterbacks. Week 5 offers several intriguing streaming candidates like that. The right matchup and workload could turn one of these widely available receivers into a valuable flex starter. Before setting your lineup, consider which players have the clearest routes to consistent targets and meaningful scoring opportunities.

Dohnte Meyers, CIN (@ MIA)

Dohnte Meyers could become one of the more appealing wide receiver streamers in Week 5 if Cincinnati's injury concerns persist . Ja'Marr Chase is dealing with a concussion. Tee Higgins is managing an adductor strain. With Joe Burrow potentially missing one or both of his top targets, Meyers could find himself in a much larger role against the Miami Dolphins.

Meyers recorded seven receptions on nine targets for 82 yards in relief during Week 4. That showed his ability to turn increased involvement into useful production. That performance gives fantasy football managers a tangible reason to consider him rather than treating him as a speculative deep-league option.

The matchup also works in his favor. Miami's rebuilding secondary could struggle to contain Cincinnati's passing attack, particularly if Burrow needs to distribute the ball more widely. Meyer's fantasy ceiling will depend heavily on the availability of Chase and Higgins. If either misses the game, Meyers could see enough additional volume to enter the WR3 conversation, with greater upside if both are unavailable.

Roman Wilson , PIT (vs. IND)

Roman Wilson is another receiver worth considering after finding the end zone in consecutive games. His recent scoring production has strengthened his fantasy football appeal. His developing connection with Aaron Rodgers gives him a potential advantage against the Indianapolis Colts.

Wilson has benefited from the attention defenses devote to DK Metcalf and Michael Pittman Jr. His ability to work into available space makes him an intriguing option for managers seeking a receiver who can capitalize on defensive adjustments. The Colts present an encouraging matchup, too, having allowed substantial production to opposing wide receivers.

Wilson's consecutive touchdown performances are encouraging, although fantasy football managers should be careful not to assume that the scoring streak will continue indefinitely. Still, the combination of recent end-zone production, a favorable matchup, and an increasingly promising quarterback connection makes Wilson worth considering as a flex option. He is a worthwhile streamer for managers chasing touchdown upside, especially if his target volume remains steady.

Darius Cooper, PHI (vs. JAC)

Darius Cooper has an opportunity to become a more prominent part of Philadelphia's passing game with DeVonta Smith sidelined by a multi-week injury. Also, Dallas Goedert is dealing with health concerns.

Cooper took advantage of his opportunities in Week 4. He drew seven targets and caught two touchdown passes against the Los Angeles Rams. That scoring production immediately puts him on the radar for fantasy football managers searching for a high-upside option who may still be available on the waiver wire.

The Jacksonville Jaguars offer another reason to consider him. Their secondary has allowed opportunities to opposing boundary receivers near the red zone. This potentially gives Cooper chances to build on his recent performance.

There is risk, of course. Two touchdown receptions can inflate expectations. Cooper's long-term target share remains uncertain. Right now, Cooper is a high-upside flex dart throw, particularly in deeper leagues where managers can afford to chase touchdown potential.

Antonio Williams, WAS (vs. NYG)

Antonio Williams deserves consideration in full-PPR formats. When Terry McLaurin missed time, Williams absorbed an eight-target workload. He served as a quick-game option capable of getting open early in the play. That role could prove valuable against a Giants defense that has surrendered chunk gains.

For PPR managers, that short-area involvement is especially appealing. If Williams continues to see a meaningful share of the passing game, he could deliver a respectable flex performance while retaining the potential for a bigger play.

His outlook remains tied to Washington's receiving depth and how the offense distributes its targets. However, his projected usage makes him a sensible option for deeper lineups. Williams is a useful PPR streamer with reception-based upside and the possibility of an explosive play.

Final Takeaway

Meyers offers the most intriguing upside if Cincinnati's injuries create extra targets. Wilson brings recent scoring momentum. Cooper is a touchdown-dependent gamble. Williams fits PPR lineups. Check the final injury reports before making your Week 5 call .
