Leeds United in talks with Lyon for Pavel Šulc, but…
Leeds United are reported to have entered into talks with Olympique Lyonnais regarding the situation of Pavel Šulc (25), according to Foot Mercato .
Having joined the Rhône-based club last summer from FC Viktoria Plzeň for a fee of €7.5m, the Czech quickly established himself as a key member of Paulo Fonseca's squad. A starter in 24 of his 38 appearances for Les Rouge et Bleu, Šulc has repaid the faith placed in him by his Portuguese manager, finding the net 14 times and providing eight assists across all competitions.

All in all, a remarkable record for a player who arrived as something of a gamble and who, within the space of a few months, has established himself as a genuine revelation in the French league.
This breakthrough has, of course, not gone unnoticed by potential suitors, including the Peacocks, who are, however, currently held back by the nearly €25m demanded by Lyon's management in exchange for releasing the Czech player, who is under contract with Les Gones until 2029.
If the two sides were to narrow their differences in this way, OL could boast another fine financial deal, following the sale of Afonso Moreira (21) to Bayer Leverkusen for a cheque of nearly €34m.
