- Lightning Forward On Way To Having Breakout Season
The Tampa Bay Lightning are having a good start to the season. At this point of the campaign, they have a 6-2-0 record and are second in the Atlantic Division.
While the Lightning's top stars are delivering during their strong start to the campaign, they are also getting good production from their depth guys. This includes with Pontus Holmberg.

Holmberg is off to a very good start this season with the Lightning. In eight games so far this campaign, the 27-year-old has posted two goals, five points, and a plus-4 rating. This was after he had 11 goals and 22 points in 70 games with the Lightning during the 2025-26 season.
Holmberg is also staying hot as the season rolls on. This is because the 2018 sixth-round pick has recorded a point in each of his last three games. With this, he is making an impact right now for the Bolts and will be aiming to keep it going from here.
If Holmberg can continue to provide strong secondary offensive production, it will be great news for the Lightning. The best NHL teams always have strong depth players, and Holmberg has been just that for the Lightning early this season.
