- Lions release DB, sign UDFA TE to practice squad
Ahead of their Week 4 trip to the Carolina Panthers (1-2), the Detroit Lions (2-1) announced a pair of Monday roster moves.
The Lions released defensive back Natrone Brooks from their practice squad and signed tight end Miles Kitselman to their practice squad.

Kitselman signed as an undrafted free agent in May and went through Lions' minicamp and part of training camp before being waived with an injury designation in early August. The 6-foot-5, 251-pound tight end suffered a leg injury, was placed on injured reserve and then reached an injury settlement with the Lions on Aug. 11.
Kitselman joins Thomas Gordon as tight ends on the Lions' practice squad. Detroit has four tight ends on its 53-man roster: Sam LaPorta , Brock Wright , Tyler Conklin , and Jackson Meeks .
A native of Lyndon, Kan., Kitselman began his career at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, catching a pair of passes for 16 yards and a touchdown. Kitselman would then spend the 2022 and 2023 seasons at Alabama , where he appeared in 19 games and caught two passes for 18 yards.

Kitselman transferred to Tennessee , where he carved out a starting role. With the Volunteers in the 2024 and 2025 seasons, Kitselman started 24 games, catching 48 passes for 554 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed for another score.
Brooks began his career as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Miss with the Atlanta Falcons . The 5-foot-11 corner appeared in 26 games with the Falcons over the last two seasons, including one start in 2025. After the Falcons waived Brooks in their 2026 roster cuts, the Lions signed Brooks to their practice squad on Sept. 10 before Monday's release.
