Saint Louis vs Georgia Game Recap
This game was an absolute clinic from almost start to finish. Stylistically, Saint Louis and Georgia are fundamentally similar. The Billikens simply out executed Georgia. Saint Lewis had 25 layups. Not dunks. Not easy baskets. 25 layups. Saint Louis worked to get the shots they wanted, and the result was many high percentage shots.

Dion Brown led the Billikens in scoring with 19, but the story was Robbie Avila. The man with the creative nicknames was a stat stuffer and his contributions came when they were most needed. 12 points on 4 of 6 shooting from the floor, 50% from three, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, two blocks and a steal.
Georgia was in this game early. However, Saint Louis would go on four noticeable runs before the game was officially out or reach. The problem for Georgia, was all of those runs happened in the first 17 minutes of the first half.
With less than a minute remaining in the first half, the Billikens would extend their lead to +15. After halftime when Georgia needed to come out swinging, Saint Louis went on a 18-0 run to begin the second half. At that point the score had balooned to 67-32 and it was almost mathematically impossible for Georgia to come back.
Georgia however, did not quit. They increased the frequency of three point attempts and for a while it was working. The lead was just too large to overcome. Up next for Saint Louis is a matchup against No. 1 seeded Michigan Wolverines
