The Los Angeles Lakers bolstered their guard depth by adding Collin Sexton , with whom they agreed to a two-year contract this offseason. Sexton brings a lot to the table, as he can score and help on defense with his energy.
During a recent episode of Buha's Block, Tony Jones of The Athletic believes that Sexton would fit in seamlessly on the Los Angeles Lakers roster, saying he's the ideal backup guard behind Luka Doncic.

"They need somebody who can come off the bench and dribble. I don't think they had that last year, right? It was a stagger situation. Like, the dribblers with the second unit were LeBron and Austin, right? So, you know, they need somebody when you're staggering Luka and Austin- somebody that can come in and get paint touches. The strength of Sexton's game is that he's a walking paint touch," Jones said of Sexton's skillset.

"I don't think he's a good defender, but I do think he's a dog of a defender… You know what I mean. He's a competitive defender. But offensively, if you just need somebody to come in tunnel vision 15 points, he's going to do that for you. And he's going to do that for you every night," he continued.

Los Angeles Lakers News: Collin Sexton relishes opportunity to suit up for the Purple and Gold
Collin Sexton ultimately joined the Los Angeles Lakers this summer, as he believes the Purple and Gold offers him the best chance of winning. In a recent interview with ESPN, the former No. 8 pick said he already feels welcomed by his new team.

"It's been amazing. Everyone's just pretty much open and welcoming, and it's been good to talk to the coaches, talk to the players. It's a whole bunch of new faces, so we're all learning each and every day together," Sexton said.
"I feel like I've been on different teams where it's just been a lot tougher. Of course, they want to win, it's always been there. But it's definitely tough to win in the NBA. It's a hard thing, and each and every night we're playing against the best of the best," he continued. "So I think just being on this stage and being able to impact winning each and every day, and what I bring to the team and bring to the game. I feel like I just fit right in."
