The Los Angeles Rams will have plenty of options in each round of the 2026 NFL Draft to add talent around quarterback Matthew Stafford.

With the 2026 NFL Draft rapidly approaching, the  Los Angeles Rams  are finalizing their own draft board. This draft is a critical one to add difference makers for the present and future and fill out the depth of the team. With Super Bowl LX on everyone's mind, this draft is critical.

While we won’t ever know the Rams’ full board, I decided to take a stab at making my own based on their needs and preferences. I’ve split this up into offensive and defensive big boards, for readability’s sake.

The idea of the horizontal board is simple: quantify how good the players are by matching them up with the needs of the team. Instead of simply ranking players, you put them on the board based on where you would take them in the draft.

It helps fans, analysts, and teams quantify whether a player is going to be worth a selection at a certain spot in the draft. For example,

I broke down the board based on a few tiers. The Rams’ picks are all far apart from each other, creating a diverse range there, especially early. Thus, I decided to break it down based on each specific pick.

A few takeaways on my offensive horizontal board:

  • I’m not a fan of Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson for numerous reasons, hence why I don’t even have him considered until the end of round three. It’s just not an appealing enough profile to me to be worth a high pick.

  • Running back is a rough crop this year. It’s not an area the Rams particularly need (even if I’m sure they’ll still draft one), but the talent at the top is close to non-existent. I’d pay attention to that group late on Day 3.

  • Yes, I do have Makai Lemon that low. I’ve written about it before, but he’s my least-preferred WR option in the first round for the Rams. It’s another good crop of wide receivers in the draft, and I hope the Rams try to double-dip there.

  • Offensive tackle is a tricky class this year. It feels like if the Rams want to take one, they have to do so with one of their first two picks.

  • The Rams will probably drafted a guard and/or center, but I doubt they do so early. That tracks with a strong Day 3 class of plenty of names on the interior offensive line.
