Louisville volleyball sweeps Texas in Nashville match on national TV
NASHVILLE — Louisville volleyball swept Texas at Bridgestone Arena in the first half of the Cardinals' Music City doubleheader Sunday, Sept. 6, with the football team awaiting a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff against Ole Miss at Nissan Stadium.
The No. 6 Cards dominated the first set, holding the No. 9 Longhorns to 12 points and a hitting percentage of .000.

Despite the shaky start, Texas made the second set its most competitive.
The two sides traded points, with 10 ties and four lead changes until the Longhorns held a 24-22 lead. UofL used a timeout and rallied to knot the set at 24. The Cardinals gave up a service error after tying the game, but even after falling behind again, they continued the fight and ultimately won the set 28-26.
The third set was much like the first, with Texas struggling to produce against Louisville's defense. The Cardinals completed the sweep with a 25-16 victory.
With the sweep against Texas, Louisville has now won its last 12 sets.

Louisville sweeps Texas in a top 10 matchup. The Cardinals have now won 12 straight sets.
They hit .350 on the day with 43 kills, nine blocks and 50 digs. Chloe Meester led the way with 13 kills. Chloe Chicoine added 12, while Kalyssa Blackshear contributed 10.
Texas' Torrey Stafford led the game in kills with 14.
