Lucas Chevalier could ruin Juventus plans for Zion Suzuki
Juventus ' hopes of taking Zion Suzuki on loan from Paris Saint-Germain this season hinge on the future of Lucas Chevalier in the French capital because, if he leaves, the Bianconeri will not be able to sign the Japan international.
Juventus wanted to sign Suzuki from Parma , but their offer was turned down and was not close to what PSG were prepared to pay for the goalkeeper. That has put the French club in a strong position to secure his signature, with the Japan international now heading towards Paris.

Suzuki is expected to compete for a place at PSG, where Lucas Chevalier is currently the second choice. However, PSG want Suzuki to leave on loan to a club where he can be the first choice, as they have signed him with his future in mind.
PSG plan Suzuki loan
PSG do not want Suzuki to remain on the bench in Paris because that could affect his development. They are therefore open to allowing him to leave on loan for the season, allowing him to play regularly and continue improving.
That situation has encouraged Juventus to pursue a temporary move. The Bianconeri believe Suzuki would be a better option than Michele Di Gregorio and want to bring him to Turin, where he could gain valuable experience while playing regularly.

Chevalier could change plans
The entire situation could change if Chevalier finds a new club during this transfer window. According to Tuttojuve , if the French goalkeeper leaves PSG, Suzuki will no longer be available for a loan because the Japan international would then be required as his replacement in the squad.
That would be a significant blow to Juventus, who are hoping PSG will allow Suzuki to move to Serie A for the season. The Bianconeri are relying on the French club having enough goalkeeping options to permit the Japan international to leave temporarily.
For now, Juventus must wait for developments surrounding Chevalier before they can be confident of completing the loan. If he remains in Paris, PSG could allow Suzuki to leave, and Juventus would have an opportunity to secure his services.

However, if Chevalier departs, Suzuki's role would immediately become more important to PSG, making a move to Turin impossible. The goalkeeper's future at the French club is therefore directly linked to Juventus' plans.
