Luis Diaz Issued Blunt Message Before PSG-Bayern Munich Game

PSG have a 5-4 aggregate lead over Bayern Munich heading into the second leg of their UEFA Champions League semifinal matchup. Moreover, if the capital club want to advance to a second straight final, they’ll need to do so without Achraf Hakimi .

Hakimi will be sidelined for several weeks after suffering a thigh injury during PSG ‘s Champions League semifinal first leg win over Bayern Munich, with the club officially ruling him out of the second leg following medical evaluation, per Reuters .

With arguably the best right-back in the world out of the match, the responsibility falls on Warren Zaïre-Emery.

On May 4, Zaïre-Emery spoke with the media and shared his thoughts on facing Diaz, who made life challenging for PSG in the first leg.

“When you have a player with the quality to do everything, like the front three, it is always difficult to defend,” Zaïre-Emery said (h/t Le10Sport ). “We played a good defensive match, but we conceded four goals. When the attackers are at that level, there is no room for mistakes. Regarding Luis Díaz, I will do my best and I will have the help of my teammates as always.”

If the Parisians want a date with Arsenal in the final, their defending will need to be much better than in the first leg, and PSG will also need to ensure Diaz has a quiet night.
