Lulli's rise under Gasperini
Lulli was close to leaving on loan for Avellino in the summer, but Gian Piero Gasperini saw enough during pre-season training to keep him with the first team.
He has since established himself in the rotation and scored his first Serie A goal in the 2-0 win over Genoa this month. Gasperini has described him as "a force of nature", saying he is superior to everyone in the squad, including Wesley, for athleticism, speed and endurance.

Lulli has also been called up to the Italy Under-21 squad and has caught the eye of senior national team coach Roberto Mancini.
A lifelong Roma fan from Palestrina, he is the latest academy product to commit his future to the club after Niccolò Pisilli.
