It’s back to the Jamahl Mosley hate train for many Orlando Magic fans.
The Magic head coach has become a big target again on social media following Orlando’s 98-83 loss in Game 2 of the team’s first-round series against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
After Orlando shocked the Pistons in enemy territory in Game 1 , the Magic looked as though they were going to be in it until the end of Game 2. The score was tied at 46-46 at the half, but the wheels started to fall off for Mosley’s team in the third quarter, where the Pistons outscored the Magic, 38-16.
Of course, Magic fans are not happy with Mosley, as they now call for the team to fire him.
“Fire Jamahl Mosley tonight, this team is flatter than a month-old soda dawg,” a fan said .
“@OrlandoMagic Can we fire Mosley now?” a social media user on X shared .
“Bro 3 points in 6 mins are you deadass😂😂 fire jahmal mosley man,” another one commented .
“@OrlandoMagic fire jamahl mosley…It’s clear he can’t get an offensive scheme with that super talented roster. 4 out and a ball handler with nobody else moving… if someone moves it’s pnr and spread? No screens on the off players? For at least distraction. Stupid ,” a different fan said .
“Jamahl Mosley just couldn’t leave Banchero in for 2 more minutes. God I can’t wait until he doesn’t have a job,” another comment read.
Facing calls for his job is nothing new to Mosley, who is in his fifth season as the Magic’s head coach. It has been a constant chorus among frustrated Orlando fans who feel that the Magic are not hitting their true potential under the 47-year-old Mosley.
In any case, the Magic will look to get the series lead again on Saturday, with Game 3 at Kia Center in Orlando.
