Former San Francisco 49ers defender Matthew Judon made headlines after a viral video featuring two women, claiming to be his ex-girlfriend and current partner, revealed that they had been living with him and their children under the same roof.
As reported by US Weekly , Arabia Tillery, Judon's ex, and his current GF, Alexis Samone, who was pregnant with his child at the time, said their arrangement with Judon is just a practical way for the former NFL player to remain present in his children's lives. They also said that they handle most of the household responsibilities.
Reacting to the viral video "We Said What We Said" Show, former NBA star Gilbert Arenas said Judon is living the way a man with his fame and wealth should.
"When you making money like that, that's how you supposed to do it. You know what I mean? Like yeah, we over here, she making the ham," he said . "And he said when he walk in, the s—t better be hot. It's going to be hot anyway. It's going to be hot like that."
Being treated like a "master"
Judon was recently released by the 49ers in early October. He has played 11 years in the NFL, earning four Pro-Bowl selections. According to Spotrac , the 34-year-old has earned more than $78 million, giving him the financial means to maintain his current household arrangement.
The arrangement, as shown in the video by Tillery and Samone, involves cooking meals for Judon. In the clip, Tillery said she was preparing chicken and waffles, while Samone was making buffalo chicken dip.
"He's on a plane, on the way home now and he wants it," Tillery said. "When he get off the plane, he wants it hot and ready."
The video has drawn mixed reactions from viewers, especially when Samone was heard telling Tillery's son, "We're all in this together. We've all got one master."
During the show, Arenas referenced the "hot and ready" line repeatedly as he justified the arrangement. For him, there was simply nothing wrong with the two partners living Judon and focusing their energy on domestic duties.
"It better be there when I get home. When I walk in the door, better be hot. I'm just saying, when you make that kind of money, you make that kind of money, that's what you get to say," the three-time NBA All-Star reiterated.
Arenas names one caveat
The former Washington Wizard star, however, said men should start a relationship with both women from the beginning rather than bring another partner into the relationship later.
"You have to start your relationship with two. You can't have a girlfriend and then you give them a brand-new pair of shoes. That's why it don't work like that," he said. "Because your old shoes, that new shoe is coming in, and I want to wear the s—t out of these new shoes. The old shoes is mad."
Some NBA players, particularly Lou Williams, have opened up about having a two-partner setup , revealing that other players in the league do the same. Arenas's wife, Melli Monaco, pointed out that men should be fair and give equal attention to both partners if they want to live like Judon.
The New York Post reported that Tillery and Samone posted another video clarifying that Judon and the latter are in a monogamous relationship and that they get along just fine. As for Agent Zero, he just hopes Matthew enjoys the comforts of this lifestyle and that he always has a hot meal waiting for him at home.
