Manchester United misfit Rasmus Hojlund has finalized a £38 million ($51 million) transfer to Napoli.
Hojlund spent this past season on loan with the Italian heavyweights. After making a strong impression on manager Antonio Conte, Napoli exercised their option to make the move permanent.
The Danish international netted 16 goals in 44 outings for Napoli, contributing to their Supercoppa Italia triumph and a Serie A runners-up finish. He had no intention of returning to Old Trafford and is reportedly thrilled that his long-term future is now settled, as per The Mirror .

Hojlund joined United from Atalanta in 2023 for £72 million ($92 million), but struggled to leave his mark, registering just 14 goals in 62 appearances across all competitions.
His performances were so underwhelming that he became a target of ridicule among certain sections of the United fanbase — who mockingly dubbed him 'Rasmiss.' United's hierarchy was so disenchanted with Hojlund that they splashed out a further £66.3 million (around $85 million) on forward Benjamin Sesko last summer.
Hojlund subsequently rediscovered his best form at Napoli, embracing life along the Amalfi Coast. United have now drawn a line under the deal, which was originally agreed between the two clubs back in January.
A statement on Manchester United's official website confirming Hojlund's departure read: "Rasmus Hojlund has joined Napoli on a permanent transfer.

"The Denmark international spent last season on loan at the Italian club, scoring 16 times in 44 games across all competitions, and has now permanently joined the Neapolitans.
"The boyhood United fan signed from Atalanta in the summer of 2023 and went on to score 26 goals in 95 appearances.
"He was part of the Reds squad that lifted the Emirates FA Cup in May 2024, having come on as a substitute against Manchester City at Wembley.
"At the start of the 2025/26 season, Hojlund returned to Italy on a season-long loan, helping Napoli to win the Supercoppa Italiana and finish runners-up in Serie A. Everyone at the club would like to wish Rasmus all the very best for the future."
