In a recent report, fussball-news.de claimed that Manchester United are facing stiff competition for Red Bull Leipzig talent Castello Lukeba . It has been mentioned that the Red Devils would have to compete with Arsenal , Barcelona and Chelsea in the race to land the French centre-back next year.
Lukeba enjoyed a good run of form at the German club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of impressive displays for them on the defensive end of the field. The 23-year-old registered one goal and picked up one assist in 29 appearances for Red Bull Leipzig last season across all fronts.
The French talent is currently among the most talented centre-halves in the Bundesliga . Hence, it is no surprise that Man United are in the running to acquire his services next year.
His current contract at the Red Bull Arena will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Red Devils to sign him on the cheap this winter or at the end of this season.

Lukeba loves a tackle and can read the danger well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and can even play his way out from the back.
The Lyon-born sensation can even use his strong 1.84m frame to win a few 50-50 aerial duels for his team. Lukeba has proven himself to be a good performer in the Bundesliga. However, the jury is still out on whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Red Devils manage to get him on board in 2027.
We can expect Lukeba to enhance the quality of Man United boss Michael Carrick's backline. He is capable of fighting for a regular first-team spot at the Theatre of Dreams in the coming years.
At 23, Lukeba has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a good choice for the Mancunian club to pursue next year. He would be well worth the fight, so Carrick should focus on going all out to land him.
