The Kansas City Chiefs traded up to No. 6 in the 2026 NFL Draft to select LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane. Pro Football Focus has given him a 79.7 grade, which ranks first among 11 cornerbacks in their First-Round Rookie Grades through Week 8. Delane has 27 tackles, one interception and five pass defenses in five games.
On his first drive on defense as a pro, he picked off Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix and left the game with a shoulder injury that bothered him in the preseason. Delane missed Week 2 and performed well until he suffered an injury to the same shoulder in Week 7. He was forced to miss the Week 8 game because of it.

The Chiefs had a second pick in the first round and took defensive tackle Peter Woods at No. 29 overall out of Clemson. He has played minimally, making 13 tackles, 0.5 sacks and a pass defense in seven games. PFF gave him a grade of 50.9, which ranks eighth of 12 defensive linemen.
