The NFL Network has kicked off its countdown of the Top 100 players of 2026 as voted on by the players and through the first 20 players, no Pittsburgh Steelers have made the cut. This doesn't come as a huge surprise as this team comes off of a 2025 season where its best players grossly underperformed.
But it got us thinking about how many Steelers could end up making the cut. For us, it really comes down to two guys. Edge defender T.J. Watt and defensive tackle Cameron Heyward are the two big names on the team that honestly carry enough clout to even be considered. Even though neither had Top 100 worthy seasons, we've already seen them on the CBS Sports Top 100 list as well as ESPNs Top 100 so it is a safe bet Watt and Heyward will make it and a guy who is deserving like center Zach Frazier won't make the cut because he's not a known entity in the league yet.
The Steelers best year on the NFL Top 100 players list was 2018. Coming off of a 13-3 season, the Steelers had six guys make the cut including two in the Top 5.
